Na podlagi tretjega odstavka 63. člena Zakona o zunanjih zadevah (Uradni list RS, št. 1/91-I) izdaja Vlada Republike Slovenije

Ratificira se Sporazum med Republiko Slovenijo in Republiko Armenijo o vzpostavitvi diplomatskih odnosov, sklenjen z izmenjavo not dne 27. junija in 12. julija 1994.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and has the honour to inform that on June 21, 1994, guided by the principles of equality, friendship and peaceful co-existence, respecting the right of nations for self-determination, the Republic of Armenia has decided to recognize the Republic of Slovenia as an independent and sovereign state and to establish diplomatic relations with the Government of the Republic of Slovenia in accordance with the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations of 1961 and to exchange Ambassadors.
The Ministry expresses its confidence that the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Slovenia, as well as development of the relations between the two countries on the basis of the observance of purposes and principles of the UN Charter, answer the interests of both countries and will contribute to the international cooperation and Universal peace and security.
The Ministry has the honour to propose that this Note and the response Note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia constitute the basis for the formal establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia the assurances of its highest consideration.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and has the honour to inform that on June 21, 1994, guided by the principles of equality, friendship and peaceful coexistence, respecting the right of nations for self-determination, the Republic of Armenia has decided to recognize the Republic of Slovenia as an independent and sovereign state and to establish diplomatic relations with the Government of the Republic of Slovenia in accordance with the Vienna Convention on diplomatic realtions of 1961 and to exchange Ambassadors.

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia has the honour to convey to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia the full consent of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia to the agreement on the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The Ministry suggests that the date of this note be considered the date of establishment of diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level.

Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Armenije izraža svoje spoštovanje Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije in ima čast obvestiti ga, da se je Republika Armenija na podlagi načel enakosti, prijateljstva in mirnega sožitja ter ob spoštovanju pravice narodov do samoodločbe dne 21. junija 1994 odločila, da prizna Republiko Slovenijo kot neodvisno in suvereno državo in da vzpostavi diplomatske odnose z Vlado Republike Slovenije v skladu z Dunajsko konvencijo o diplomatskih odnosih iz leta 1961 ter da izmenja veleposlanika.
Ministrstvo izraža svoje prepričanje, da vzpostavitev diplomatskih odnosov med Republiko Armenijo in Republiko Slovenijo ter razvoj odnosov med obema državama na temelju spoštovanja ciljev in načel Listine Združenih narodov ustreza interesom obeh držav in bo prispevalo k mednarodnemu sodelovanju ter miru in varnosti v svetu.
Ministrstvo ima čast predlagati, da ta nota in nota-odgovor Ministrstva za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije tvorita temelj za formalno vzpostavitev diplomatskih odnosov med obema državama.
Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Armenije tudi ob tej priložnosti izraža Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije svoje globoko spoštovanje.

MINISTRSTVO ZA ZUNANJE ZADEVE

Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije izraža svoje spoštovanje Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Armenije in ima čast potrditi prejem note št. 7/2949 z dne 27. junija 1994, ki se glasi:
“Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Armenije izraža svoje spoštovanje Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije in ima čast obvestiti ga, da se je Republika Armenija na podlagi načel enakosti, prijateljstva in mirnega sožitja ter ob spoštovanju pravice narodov do samoodločbe dne 21. junija 1994 odločila, da prizna Republiko Slovenijo kot neodvisno in suvereno državo in da vzpostavi diplomatske odnose z Vlado Republike Slovenije v skladu z Dunajsko konvencijo o diplomatskih odnosih iz leta 1961 ter da izmenja veleposlanika.

Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije ima čast sporočiti Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Armenije, da Vlada Republike Slovenije v celoti soglaša s sporazumom o vzpostavitvi diplomatskih odnosov.
Ministrstvo predlaga, da se datum te note šteje za datum vzpostavitve diplomatskih odnosov na ravni veleposlanikov.
Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije tudi ob tej priložnosti izraža Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Armenije svoje globoko spoštovanje.
